Tha Ra Nae people usually eat mangrove clams or sell them for money. The best dish of Tha Ra Nae with mangrove clams as the main ingredient is the mangrove clam curry with betel leaf. The mangrove calms in the curry are full of chewiness and tenderness, the taste is mellow with curry soup that is fragrant with hot red curry paste. It has a unique fragrance from the betel leaves, served with hot steamed rice. Besides this curry, Tha Ra Nae people often grill mangrove calms and eat with salt chili paste dip. The freshness of the mangrove clams together with the piquant taste of the salt chili paste dip is another menu that the Tha Ra Nae people are proud to present.

       The reason why Tha Na Rae still has plentiful of mangrove clams is because of the cooperation of the community in conserving the habitat of mangrove clam in the mangrove forest. They also limit the area, where the villagers can catch the mangrove clam, separated from the conservation area. Moreover, Tha Ra Nae people also have a shellfish planting activity that is an activity to increase the number of mangrove clam populations, where tourists can join in planting as well. It is considered that Tha Na Naeha has a systematic and very interesting conservation management of the mangrove clam.
