บอนดำสตูล / Black Elephant Ears Plant

บอนดำสตูลมักพบบริเวณเขาหินปูน ตามซอกผาหินที่มีซากวัชพืชและใบไม้แห้งทับถม ไม่ชอบแสงจ้า ชอบความชื้นต่ำ ลักษณะเป็นใบรูปไข่แกมหัวใจ ปลายใบแหลมและปลายใบมักห้อยย้อยลง โคนใบเว้าลึก มีก้านใบยาวและก้านใบติดกับแผ่นด้านล่าง เอกลักษณ์ของบอนดำสตูลคือ หลังใบจะมีสีม่วง หน้าใบจะเป็นสีเขียวเข้ม กระดูกใบจะมีสีชมพูและสีขาว เป็นเอกลักษณ์ “Black Elephant Ears Plant” (Bondam Satun) is often found in limestone hills and rocky crevices rich in plant debris. The plant prefers to grow in places without intensely bright light and low humidity. The leaf is a mixed shape of oval and heart, the base of the leaf is deeply concave, with long petioles attached to the lower plate. The tips of the leaves are pointed and often hanging down. The uniqueness of the Black Elephant Ears Plant is the leaf. The leaf is purple on the back while the front is dark green. The midrib and veins of the leaf are distinctly pink and white.
