เตยหนู

ไม้พุ่มขนาดเล็กถึงขนาดกลาง ลักษณะใบเดี่ยว เรียงเวียนเป็นเกลียวขึ้นไปจนถึงยอด แผ่นใบรูปแถบ เรียวยาว ปลายเรียวแหลม ขอบใบมีสันและมีหนามแหลม ผลมีลักษณะคล้ายสัปปะรด จึงปลูกเป็นไม้ประดับ หรือนำมาทำเป็นเครื่องจักสาน และส่วนรากนำมาเป็นสมุนไพรใช้ลดอาการไข้ได้ Teoy-nu (translates as Mouse Pandan) is small to medium sized shrub, the leaves grow spirally up to the top. The leaves are strip-shaped, elongated, with a slender tip. The edges of the leaves have ridges and have sharp thorns. The fruit of the Teoy-nu looks like a pineapple, therefore, it is popularly grown as an ornamental plant. The tough leaves can also be used to make wickerwork while the roots can be used as folk remedy to reduce fever.
