วาสนา / Cape of good hope, Dracaena

เป็นไม้ขนาดกลางถึงใหญ่ ไม่แตกกิ่ง เป็นไม้ใบเดี่ยว เรียวยาว ดอกตูมมีลักษณะเป็นหลอดยาว เมื่อบานจะแผ่ออกเป็น 6 กลีบ กลีบมีสีขาวถึงชมพู มีกลิ่นหอมช่วงเย็น-ค่ำ ออกดอกเป็นช่อ เชื่อว่า หากปลูกต้นวาสนาจนออกดอกแล้วจะทำให้ผู้ปลูกได้รับโชคลาภและความเจริญรุ่งเรือง Dracaena is a medium to large, non-branched, monocotyledon plant. The plant has slender leaves with tube-shaped flower buds. The flower has 6 white and pink petals when bloomed. The scent of the dracaena flower is the strongest during the evening and night. As dracaena is also known as the “cape of good hope”, the locals believe that if their planted dracaena bears flowers and fruits, it is an auspicious sign of prosperity and fortune.
